What Can You See on a Full-Day Private Tour of Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report
The weather was mostly cloudy and comfortable, but I provided a parasol and took care to prevent heatstroke. At Nezu Shrine, the guests especially liked the shrine's decorations. At the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, I gave a general tour, and the guests were particularly interested in the history of the Tokugawa family. We bought food at a convenience store in front of Meiji-Jingumae Station and had a meal at the Meiji Jingu Forest Terrace. Although it was not on the original plan, the guests wished to purchase a Welcome Suica, so we stopped in Shibuya and also visited the Scramble Crossing and Hachiko. The guests were delighted. They seemed to have high expectations for Gotokuji, taking many photos and buying a beckoning cat figurine. This was also not on the original plan, but since the guests were planning to watch a baseball game at Tokyo Dome, I guided them there, and the tour concluded.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter of Japan and an expert in Japanese history and culture, and also in nursing and health. I usually work as a Public Health Nurse (PHN) at a Public Health Center in Tokyo, and I hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, I have a Ph.D. in medical science.
Born in 1957 and raised in Tokyo, I have worked for 33 years mainly in the research and development area for some pharmaceutical companies. Then, I changed my career to nursing and entered a university to obtain a PHN and RN license. I took the Licensed Guide for preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and volunteered in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2021.

This was our first visit to Tokyo, and our tour with Koba made the experience truly exceptional. Koba was so nice to my family and I. He was patient and helped carry a large toy my daughter won. I wished we had another day. Having a guide saved us hours of navigating the subway and metro.
