What Is a Private One-Day Osaka Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
Today's tour was for a group visiting from Europe. They had just arrived in the Kansai area the day before, so they had many questions for me. At Shitennoji Temple, we walked around quite slowly while talking about topics such as Shinto and Buddhism. After that, we moved to Osaka Castle, but it was extremely hot, so we explored the area while making sure to stay hydrated frequently. Since one of the guests seemed quite tired, we took a taxi from Osaka Castle to Dotonbori. For lunch, they enjoyed okonomiyaki at Chibo. As it was their first day, they seemed very curious about many different things. I believe they had a great time.

We spent half a day with Kaeko Tanigawa taking us to Daitoku-ji and Kinkaku-ji temples and Nijo castle in Kyoto. She is very nice, customer-oriented and knowledgeable about Japanese culture and history.

Kaeko Tanigawa was fantastic at helping us create a tour that worked for our family with two young children. It was a very hot day, but the air conditioned van was perfect. We loved making ramen together, feeding monkeys, and seeing a few top sites of Kyoto.

Kaeko was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and my husband and I had the best time with her during our honeymoon in Kyoto in April! She reached out well before our trip to get to know our interests and carefully planned an itinerary that was perfectly tailored to us—even helping us choose the perfect lunch spot.
