What's an 8-Hour Private Summer Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa and Akihabara
The guests were a group visiting from North America. Since it was an 8-hour tour during an extreme heat wave, I was concerned about their comfort, but they told me that temperatures where they live can reach around 45°C, so this level of heat was no problem for them, and indeed we were able to carry out the tour to the end without any particular issues.
Because one of the guests had a food restriction, they requested KFC for lunch, so I guided them to a location in Asakusa.
Some of the guests were fond of anime and strongly requested that Akihabara be included, so I took them there. They purchased a large amount of anime goods at a shop, and while some in the group seemed amazed, the others appeared very satisfied.
The guests seemed to enjoy themselves, but I found that an 8-hour tour on an extremely hot day was quite demanding for a guide as well.

Pleasant Intro to Tokyo
Nobu was an experienced and informative guide. It was a great introduction to Tokyo – a busy and vastly interesting city. We learned about Japanese history and toured some of the major sites including the Imperial gardens, a Buddhist temple, a Shinto shrine, and the bustling Shibuya Crossing. Nobu helped us get familiar with the subway system and explained some of Japanese cuisine. We greatly enjoyed our tour and recommend it to others!
