Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima Peace Memorial Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests listened carefully to a detailed explanation that included a personal account of an atomic bombing experience passed down within my family. The guests asked how my family and I feel toward the country associated with the war. When I explained that we do not hate any particular country but rather war itself, the guests nodded deeply. We found common ground in wishing for the earliest possible ceasefire in the wars currently ongoing.
The city tram takes more time than expected, so I would like to consider using a bus at least for the return trip. On the way there we could sit because we boarded at the starting station, but on the way back we had to stand all the way to the final stop.

I was born and grew up in Hiroshima. I used to be an equestrian and enjoyed a horse-full life at a Veterinary College in Miyazaki Prefecture. And I’ve worked for Hiroshima City Hall as a vet. The city annually holds its Peace Memorial Ceremony, inviting many delegates from around the world. Throughout my over 40-year career as a city official, I accompanied those guests during their stay in Hiroshima. So, besides my profession, I became a Peace Park Guide, a Miyajima Guide, and a licensed guide interpreter of Hiroshima Prefecture. My mother, who runs a beauty salon, is one of the atomic bomb survivors. And I started looking for ways to convey her message to future generations. A radio drama, modeled after my mother and me, was broadcast nationwide and won a grand prize in 2016. Let me tell you the history and local culture of Hiroshima.

Well, firstly to review this incredible Full Day Tour, is an absolute privilege for me!!
The Tour that Melissa, at Hello World Bateau Bay in NSW, booked for us was sensation for the 8 hours, from start to finish!!
We were teamed up with the most loveliest and caring man named Toshi, He was amazing, not only with his deep knowledge of Hiroshima and all the surrounding areas that we visited, but would do anything at all that we asked of him, Without hesitation!!
He built our full days schedule around our fitness, Age and preferences inbetween the highlights, that were part of the tour!! E.g The Peace Park, Shrines, The Museum and the Emperors Castle !! 🫶
He had been personally affected by the Bombing in Hiroshima and his memories., will live with us forever !!

Toshi, our tour guide was great. He answered all our questions making our tour a very good learning experience. We strongly recommend him not only for his knowledge of the island but also for the history of Hiroshima. He met us at our hotel and we traveled to the Miyajima island together by train and ferry. He shared many of his personal experiences from a life long history of living in the Hiroshima region making our day even more interesting.
