- 13:15 Disband at the entrance of Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine
What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari
Today I guided a group visiting from North America. The sky was cloudy, which eased the heat, making it a very fortunate day. We took a taxi from the Hotel to Kiyomizu-dera, and since it was not very crowded, we were able to walk around at a relaxed pace. Sannenzaka was not too busy either, so the guests enjoyed leisurely shopping. They purchased items such as a paper fan, a wallet, and T-shirts. After that, we took a taxi to Fushimi Inari Taisha. It had become a little warmer, but it was not too crowded, and the guests enjoyed strolling through the Senbon Torii. For lunch, I recommended a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, and the tour came to an end. I believe the guests enjoyed themselves.

We spent half a day with Kaeko Tanigawa taking us to Daitoku-ji and Kinkaku-ji temples and Nijo castle in Kyoto. She is very nice, customer-oriented and knowledgeable about Japanese culture and history.

Kaeko Tanigawa was fantastic at helping us create a tour that worked for our family with two young children. It was a very hot day, but the air conditioned van was perfect. We loved making ramen together, feeding monkeys, and seeing a few top sites of Kyoto.

Kaeko was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and my husband and I had the best time with her during our honeymoon in Kyoto in April! She reached out well before our trip to get to know our interests and carefully planned an itinerary that was perfectly tailored to us—even helping us choose the perfect lunch spot.
