Title: What's a Private Kyoto Day Trip by Bullet Train from Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time. They had arrived in Tokyo the previous day and organized a same-day round trip to Kyoto using the bullet train. The rainy season in the Kinki region had ended the previous day, nearly a month earlier than usual, so the tour took place in intense heat of around 35°C. Still recovering from jet lag and dealing with this heat, the group seemed a little worn out. I took them to Arashiyama (the Bamboo Grove and Tenryu-ji Temple, including the Hyakka-en Garden and the Sogen-chi Garden), Ryoan-ji Temple, and Kinkaku-ji Temple. Among the group, favorites included the Bamboo Grove, Kinkaku-ji Temple, and Ryoan-ji Temple.
