- 8:06-8:25 Osaka Port → Yodoyabashi, Osaka Metro 290 yen
- 8:37-9:33 Yodoyabashi → Kiyomizu-Gojo, Keihan 430 yen
- 9:50- 11:30 Sightseeing in the Kiyomizu-dera & Gion area
- 11:55-11:58 Kyoto Kawaramachi → Shijo-Omiya, Hankyu 170 yen
- 12:13-12:37 Omiya → Arashiyama, Randen 250 yen
- 12:40- 14:30 Sightseeing in the Arashiyama area (Bamboo Grove Path, Tenryu-ji, Togetsukyo Bridge, etc.)
- 14:44-15:55 Arashiyama → Osaka Port, 680 yen (Hankyu 390 yen, Metro 290 yen)
- 16:10 Disband @ Tempozan Ferry Terminal
Title: What's a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kiyomizu-dera, Gion, and Arashiyama
The guests were a group from North America. Upon arriving in Kyoto, one of the guests felt unwell and had to return to Osaka by taxi, an unexpected situation. After that, the rest of the group toured Kiyomizu-dera, the Gion area, and the Arashiyama area. During the planning stage beforehand, I had proposed several possible courses, but in the end we came full circle back to the original plan. There was some misunderstanding around the word "Original Plan," as the course I had envisioned differed from the one the guests had in mind, and there was a moment on the way when the person who made the booking became slightly displeased. However, with the support of the other guests, I believe everyone was ultimately satisfied.

Andy(Atsushi) was great and communicated with us beforehand about our itinerary. He was flexible with changes we requested. Andy was very informative during the tour. He also was willing to take our family’s pictures. We were able to stop and check out shops as we pleased along the way. He also accommodated lunch requests(as our daughter has food allergies).
One thing I wish we realized was that there is quite a bit of walking. We were fine but for people who are perhaps older or with young children you may want to consider taking a cab between different sites.

Andy Murao was an amazing and wonderful tour guide. He reached out to us with some ideas for our private tour. He worked with us as we made the tour perfectly suited to our needs. He met us on time. He navigated the crowds and the sites perfectly. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. He even put together a nice photo collection of photos he emailed us after. Highly recommend.
