What Is a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Tsukiji, Meiji Shrine, and Shibuya

The guests were a group visiting from Europe. One of the guests was a great fan of the Japanese language and Japanese culture, and this trip was a long-awaited dream come true. They had arrived in Tokyo the day before, and today was their first day of sightseeing in Tokyo, with plans to stay for a few more nights.

We first visited the Tsukiji Outer Market. Since it was right after breakfast, they said they wanted to spot promising shops and return another day. They were especially interested to learn that a wide variety of seafood, including salmon, comes to this market from around the world.

At Namiyoke Shrine and Higashi Honganji Temple, I explained the differences between Buddhism and Shinto and the influence each has had on Japanese culture, and I believe the guests enjoyed it very much. One of the guests said, "The sound of the Japanese language is wonderful," and had started studying Japanese. Many questions were asked throughout the tour.

At Meiji Shrine, the guests seemed to feel the mystical atmosphere of the shrine, and they were delighted to purchase an omamori charm.

Finally, I guided them to Shibuya and introduced game arcades and shops for shopping. They said they wanted to stay in Shibuya and enjoy it, so we ended the tour there.

Hello and welcome to Tokyo!

I have been working for business with American companies for many years. I have many experiences guiding customers from around the world in Japan and taking Japanese customers to the USA and Europe.

I now have a national license as a guiding interpreter, and I want to introduce the unique gigantic city of Tokyo and the traditional Japanese culture, which is not shown in the guidebooks, to people worldwide who are interested in it. In addition, I want to introduce various Japanese foods you can enjoy only in Japan.
Unique experiences such as the Sumo Training Viewing and Tea Ceremony are optionally available.
Depending on your preference and itinerary, I can guide you in Tokyo, Kamakura, and Hakone so that you can enjoy your time in Japan.
