Title: What's a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report (Meiji Shrine, Shibuya & Asakusa)
The guests were visitors from Oceania. The plan was to decide the destinations on the morning of the tour, but early that morning I received word that we would start a little late due to a stomach upset, so we began after waiting at the Starbucks below the hotel. There were a few moments where the guests exchanged words over where to go, and while I initially wondered how things would go, I reminded myself that this is a common and natural dynamic, and we enjoyed the day together. From the conversation I learned that hamburgers were a favorite, and considering the stomach condition, I thought it best to avoid typical Japanese food for lunch, so we went to Mos Burger (which is also a somewhat Japanese-style burger). Two large burgers plus other items were eaten with ease, so I believe the stomach had recovered. It turned out to be the right choice, though this was my first time taking guests to a burger restaurant. Since one of the guests was wearing a Super Mario T-shirt, I mentioned there was a Nintendo shop in Shibuya, and they were delighted to go and browse the merchandise. As I was told it "would take quite a while," the rest of us split off to explore inside Parco and buy drinks at a nearby convenience store. Also, regarding the golden monument in Asakusa, when I mentioned it resembles someone's hairstyle, the immediate smiling reply was "Trump" — so everyone seems to think the same thing. It was cloudy today with little direct sunlight, and we spent a lot of time in cool spots such as the shade at Meiji Shrine and CyberSpace in Shibuya, but perhaps due to the high humidity, one of the guests became quite tired in Asakusa and had a slight leg cramp. Dinner was scheduled at an izakaya in Shimbashi from 17:00, and since they wanted to rest at a cafe near Tokyo Station, I gave a brief introduction to the Tokyo Station building and the location of the Imperial Palace (which they planned to visit the next day) before we parted ways. As there will be more opportunities to drink from plastic bottles going forward, and since trash bins are scarce, I felt it was a day that highlighted the difficulty of how to dispose of them.

Nice to meet you. I am delighted to introduce myself. My nickname is Danda. I live in Saitama prefecture next to Tokyo, but I was brought up in Kanazawa, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan. My favorite things are bonsai and hiking. Also, I have been a big fun of history and sumo since my childhood. As for the guide, I have enjoyed making communication with foreign visitors since 2019. I have taken more than 30 private groups to not only major scenic spots but also their favorite places such as tea ceremony, maid cafe, sumo tournament, bonsai village, fire ritual and so on. I can arrange the original tour based on your requests and curiosity. It will be only for you. I look forward to meeting you soon. Thank you.

Great tour guide and experience.
Danda was great with my family. He was thoughtful, kind and patient with our family and
we felt welcomed and comfortable with him. He went above and beyond to make sure we
were all set and prepared for great Japan trip experience. Highly recommend him!
