What Is a Private Kyoto and Nara Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests visited Japan together as a group to celebrate a milestone. One of the guests had been to Tokyo before, but it was their first time visiting Kyoto and Nara. Because one of the guests followed a gluten-free diet, deciding on a lunch spot was challenging. I had planned to visit a sushi restaurant that offered gluten-free soy sauce, but unfortunately it was closed. The internet listed it as open, but for some reason it was closed. This kind of thing has been happening a lot recently. Depending on the day of the week, it may be necessary to confirm by phone the day before. Fortunately, when we went into a sushi restaurant I had visited before, they had a gluten-free menu and gluten-free soy sauce, which was a great help. The guests seemed to enjoy the sushi very much, which was wonderful. We also stopped by Nakatanidou to watch the mochi pounding, and as a result we missed the return train we had planned to take and had to take the next one, so we finished about 30 minutes later than scheduled. Since we arrived in Nara early in the morning, there were still few people around, which made for a relaxed sightseeing experience. The photo was taken at Isuien Garden.
