What Is a Private Day Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Ohara, Ginkaku-ji, and Sake Tasting

The guests came from Oceania. I was surprised to learn that they have many young grandchildren. Recently, unless guests have specific requests, I like to guide them to some less crowded spots in addition to the famous sites. Lately, even Hosen-in in Ohara has become much busier with tourists than before. Since it was just after the rain, the green moss in the garden of Sanzen-in was absolutely beautiful. After Ginkaku-ji, we walked along the Philosopher's Path to Nanzen-ji, stopping along the way at Otoyo Shrine, where I explained the various guardian deities (kenzoku). As one of the guests mentioned enjoying all kinds of alcohol, we finished the day by taking the subway to Kyoto City Hall and arranging for them to sample three types of Japanese sake at a standing bar in the underground shopping arcade. They were delighted to have had so many different experiences.

I’m Ryoichi Kazuma and my nickname is “Kazz”. I live in Kyotanabe city next to Kyoto city. I want guests to enjoy Kyoto by seeing and experiencing not only from outside but also from inside. I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. As I want to guide guests to as many destinations as possible, I make an efficient itinerary and recommend a taxi use to save time. Additionally, I take pictures at various spots and finally share the link to my storage. By doing so, guests can download their favorite pictures from my storage. Please enjoy Kyoto night and day!
