Can You Do a Private Day Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima? A Licensed Guide's Report
[Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private day tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima for a group visiting Japan from Europe. Since low tide at Miyajima was expected around noon, the tour began with a visit to the Peace Memorial Park. After explaining the Children's Peace Monument, the guide handed out a personal business card made from recycled paper of the thousand origami cranes, which the guests found very interesting. The guests also listened attentively to the stories of the atomic bomb survivors. Over lunch, the conversation turned lively when talking about fish, as the guests came from a region surrounded by the sea. They were particularly surprised that tuna could be purchased so inexpensively in Japan. They mentioned that they also enjoy eating raw fish, and were amazed at how large Japanese oysters are. The guests were all smokers, so finding a smoking room proved a bit challenging. Having not guided smokers before, the guide was slightly unsure how to accommodate this, but managed to arrange things smoothly.
