What Is a Private Walking Tour of Asakusa and Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

I was able to guide the group smoothly along the route and schedule we had confirmed in advance. Since the guests' accommodation was in Asakusa, I began the tour from Asakusa. It happened to coincide with the Sanja Matsuri festival, so I had expected considerable crowds, but because it was in the morning the congestion was not yet too severe, and we were lucky to be able to see the festival's portable shrines and other sights. The guests were friends visiting from North America, both intellectually curious people, and I received a continuous stream of various questions from each of them, making it a genuinely challenging and rewarding tour for me as a guide. We were also blessed with good weather, and overall I think it was a wonderful tour.
