Can You Do a Private Himeji Castle Day Tour by Bullet Train? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today's guests were a group visiting Japan for the first time from North America. We met in front of the bullet train transfer gate at Himeji Station, then visited the Castle View spot and Himeji Castle. After a light meal at a teahouse near Koko-en Garden, we toured Koko-en Garden and the Nadagiku Sake Brewery, ending the tour in front of the central ticket gate at Himeji Station.

Today was the final day of the "Himeji Castle Festival," and there were events such as the "Himeji Yosakoi Festival" at Otemae Park and a "lion dance" at the Sannomaru Square, so there were slightly more tourists than usual. Since the guests purchased bullet train tickets during the tour for a train departing Himeji Station at 15:00, we moved through the itinerary a little quickly.

The Nadagiku Sake Brewery was added to the itinerary at the guests' request, but the Nadagiku sake did not seem to suit their taste (the guests mentioned they preferred whiskey). Apart from Nadagiku, the tour had an extremely pleasant atmosphere, so this was a slightly disappointing result.
