What's a Private One-Day Tokyo Temple and Shrine Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Oceania. They had arrived the previous night, and today was their first day of sightseeing, with plans to stay in Tokyo for the following week. In addition to the major tourist spots, they had requested to visit temples and shrines, so we stopped by Gotokuji Temple and Setagaya Hachimangu Shrine. In the quiet atmosphere, the fresh greenery was beautiful, and they were delighted by the many unique cat figures. In Asakusa, they enjoyed ramen at Kamukura and were very satisfied with how delicious it was. Besides sightseeing in Tokyo, they planned to take a day trip to the Fuji Five Lakes. Since they seemed to enjoy quiet temples, I recommended that they spend a day in Kamakura if they had the time. The weather was good, and it seems they thoroughly enjoyed their first full day of sightseeing in Tokyo.

Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable about the are and guided us to several temples using public transportation. We stopped for a traditional Japanese lunch and saw some of the specialty wood carvings from the area.
