Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on the Peace Museum and Hiroshima Castle

The guests were visitors from North America. They found the exhibits at the memorial museum more harrowing than they had expected, and there were many moments when they walked quickly past the displays. It was memorable that they compared the exhibits with a Holocaust Museum they had seen abroad. Since guests from North America come from a wide range of backgrounds, I gave my explanations with even more care and sensitivity than usual. After leaving the museum, I suggested several possible destinations, and following their wish to "learn about history at Hiroshima Castle," I took them to Hiroshima Castle. It was their first visit to Japan and their first Japanese castle, and they were deeply moved. As they mentioned they wanted to have okonomiyaki for lunch, I guided them to a restaurant near Hiroshima Castle, where we parted ways.
