Title: What's a Private Day Trip from Osaka to Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visiting Japan and Kyoto for the first time, arriving in Osaka the previous day. Today was a day trip from Osaka. Since the guests wanted a walking tour with a quiet, Kyoto-like atmosphere away from the crowds, the itinerary above was arranged.
The guests traveled from Osaka using the JR local line and seemed a little confused about the meeting point at Kyoto Station (Hotel). There were a few exchanges via a messaging app, but they arrived only about 10 minutes late and we met up without any trouble.
After that, the tour proceeded smoothly by taxi, on foot, and by taxi again.
The guests appeared to really enjoy visiting Ginkaku-ji Temple and strolling along the Philosopher's Path.
After the Imperial Palace, the guests wanted to go to Nishiki Market, so I explained how to get there at Imadegawa subway station, and we parted ways.
During the tour there were questions at a comfortable frequency, making it a relaxed and easygoing tour.

Great walking tour in Kyoto!
Shoji was a great guide around Kyoto. Even in the rain we were able to visit the shrines/temples we wanted to see. We wished we had started earlier as we would have linke to have seen other things off the beaten path. We ended in Gion and were able to walk around the area. Shoji brought a wealth of knowledge about the area and Japanese culture.

We had such a wonderful tour of Nara with our tour guide Shoji. He was very knowledgeable and taught us so much about Japanese history. He was extremely flexible and helped us create the best tour for us. We wouldn’t have had near the positive experience or seen as many locations if we had tried to do the tour on our own. I recommend this tour and guide to anyone wanting to experience Nara.
