From there the group visited Nara Park at 9:30, Todai-ji Temple at 10:30, Kasuga Taisha Shrine at 13:00, Higashimuki Shopping Street (lunch & shopping) at 14:00 and JR Nara Station dismissal at 15:30.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Karasuma Oike Station to Kintetsu Nara Station by train (1,020JPY); Kintetsu Nara Station to In front of Todai-ji Great Buddha Hall by bus (250JPY). Across 2 sections the fare came to 1,270JPY per person.
Title: What Is a Private Nara Day Tour Like at a Slow Pace? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting Japan from Europe. When I picked them up at the Hotel, some of the guests were still having breakfast and one was resting in the room, so our departure from the Hotel was delayed. The tour proceeded at a slow pace throughout the day. The guests walked slowly, partly due to fatigue from the previous days. When returning from Kasuga Taisha to Kintetsu Nara Station or JR Nara Station, we used a taxi. Like the guests earlier in the month, they thoroughly enjoyed the deer of Nara at a relaxed pace. Before visiting Todaiji, and also along the approach to Kasuga Taisha, they fed the deer shika-senbei crackers. In the end, the guests said they did not need to be taken all the way to Kyoto, so we stayed on site for an extra hour, and I saw them off at JR Nara Station before we parted ways.

There is a lot of climbing stairs and walking, but it is totally worth it. Nara was very crowded,
but with Toshi guiding me, I could find my way very easily. The deer can be aggressive, but
really pretty amazing.

the deer, some temples, a few local shops, and were made to feel at home with Yoshi’s

Auf unserem Trip durch Japan hatten wir für unseren Stopp in Osaka eine vierstündige Tour gebucht. Im Vorfeld konnten wir per Mail mit unserem Guide Yoshi Iwamoto einen groben Plan vereinbaren, was uns an diesem Tag erwarten würde. Yoshi war überpünktlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt und wir konnten direkt mit unserer Tour starten. Wir hatten das große Glück, mit ihm vor den Touristenmassen am Shitennoji-Tempel zu sein und haben die Ruhe sehr genossen. Auch die anderen Ziele waren wirklich sehr schön und wir hatten einen großartigen Tag zusammen. Vielen Dank Yoshi für die tolle Tour und Deine Freundlichkeit! Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland!
