Title: What Can You See on a 3.5-Hour Private Tour of Nagoya? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests came to Nagoya to attend a conference and wished to enjoy some sightseeing in Nagoya using their free time before the event, so within a short tour window of three and a half hours I guided them through a condensed selection of Nagoya's most attractive sites. We had agreed in advance to meet in the lobby of the hotel where they were staying, but just before the tour a messaging app exchange could not go through due to a setting issue on the guests' phone, and they mistook the meeting point in the lobby on the 31st floor of the hotel for the hotel entrance at ground level, so the tour started about 15 minutes later than planned. I guided them to Nagoya Castle, Tokugawaen Garden, and the Tokugawa Art Museum, all sites deeply connected to the Owari Tokugawa family. They were delighted by the magnificence of the Honmaru Palace at Nagoya Castle, the splendid peonies at Tokugawaen Garden, and the special exhibition "National Treasure: The Hatsune Trousseau" at the Tokugawa Art Museum.
