The guests were a group visiting from North America on a cruise ship, traveling in Japan and Korea for the first time. The cherry blossoms at Osaka Castle were nearly in full bloom, and the guests were deeply impressed by the rows of cherry trees lining the outer moat, taking many photos. At the main keep, we looked out over the vast castle grounds and moats and discussed the fall of the Toyotomi family, including the Summer Siege of Osaka. The guests were also struck by the contrast between the rows of buildings in the Osaka cityscape and Osaka Castle. At the Kondo Hall of Shitennoji Temple, a relic ceremony was being held, and everyone put their hands together in prayer to receive blessings. After enjoying okonomiyaki at Kuromon Market, we strolled through Dotonbori and I saw the guests off at Osaka Port.

He was also very friendly and approachable, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
