What Is a Slow-Paced Private Nara Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The weather was beautiful that day, and the cherry blossoms were still in bloom, making it a perfect day for viewing them. For the guests, the Nara tour was the final day of their trip, and they would return to Tokyo the next day before heading home. Since one of the guests had knee pain, the tour proceeded at a slow pace. At the train stations, at their request, we used escalators or elevators as much as possible, even if it took extra time. We also took the bus from Todaiji Temple to Kasuga Taisha Shrine. There was some traffic congestion, and we waited more than about 15 minutes at the bus stop, but the guests spent the time leisurely in the park. Furthermore, we took a taxi from the foot of Mount Wakakusa to Kintetsu Nara Station. Thanks to the relaxed pace of the tour, the guests told me "Great Tour" when it ended. They especially seemed to enjoy the time spent in Nara Park, as well as being able to buy a vase at an antique shop. In the end, since I am planning to visit North America this July, we parted with a promise to meet again in the region where the guests live, if our schedules align.

Let’s go out! The Kansai region was the center of Japan for a long time. It was from the 4th century to 19th century. Thus the Kansai region is rich in scenic and historic interest. Why don’t we see, feel, and find so many attractions in Nara Kyoto and Osaka. I was born and raised in Nara. Also I have been to Osaka and Kyoto for working, shopping and dining.
