What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour from Kobe Port Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests came from North America. They arrived at Kyoto Station by a taxi they had booked themselves from Kobe Port and met their guide there. Since it was hard to predict when the car would arrive at Kyoto Station, I waited from around 9:00 a.m., and as expected, they arrived earlier than planned, reaching Kyoto Station at 9:30. I had also asked the driver to be on standby early, so we were able to start the tour smoothly. The itinerary, including an extension, was planned in advance through communication with a travel agency. One of the guests had had an upset stomach in the two days before the tour, so it was a bit unexpected when they wished to go to McDonald's after visiting Kiyomizu-dera Temple, but I consulted with the driver and accommodated their request. There was not enough time to visit Kinkaku-ji, so the guests spent a long time enjoying Nijo Castle, where the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Finally, they tried the rickshaw experience I had reserved in Arashiyama, and they were very satisfied. I received information about the driver of the pickup car from the guests, and I believe they made it back safely to the Kobe Port Terminal. We were able to finish the tour without the rain I had been worried about.

I apologize for any concern I may have caused regarding this guiding assignment. Thank you very much.

I am an experienced guide, who live in Osaka. I have been a Government-Licensed Guide in English since 2018. I have already guided a lot of tourists overseas in Kansai Area, that is, in the vicinity of my prefecture, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and Himeji. I am especially good at guiding in Kansai Area with sufficient knowledge of history, culture and transportation. I have guided people ranging from a small group of one or two to a group of 20-50 people in a big bus, that is, a coach. I like delicious food, because Osaka is a city of Kuidaorre, which means that people in Osaka love to eat and never spend too much money on food. Therefore, as an Osakan, I will do my best to explore restaurants which serve most delicious foods in wherever I take to my guests.
