Tour Itinerary in Detail
The tour started at 10:00 at hotel and ended at 16:00. The day ran to 6 hours from start to finish. It included lunch at 14:30.
Over the course of the day the route took in Meiji Shrine at 10:30, Takeshita Street at 11:30, In front of the Imperial Palace Nijubashi Bridge at 12:15 and Stroll around Asakusa and Sensoji Temple at 13:30.
What Does a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Include? A Licensed Guide's Report on Meiji Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Asakusa
The guests were visiting Japan from North America. We first headed to Meiji Shrine and began our visit from the northern approach. Along the way, I explained the differences between Buddhism and Shinto and the influence each has had on Japanese culture, and within the grounds I demonstrated and guided the proper way to pay respects at a shrine. The guests seemed very convinced by the explanation of Shinto and purchased several charms.
After that, we passed through Takeshita Street on our way to the Imperial Palace, where I explained the imperial family and how World War II affected the imperial household.
Finally, we headed to Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple. The guests took a liking to a cosmetics shop along Nakamise, and enjoyed shopping there for a long time, buying gifts for friends.
Since they wished to continue enjoying sightseeing and shopping in Asakusa, we ended the tour there.

Highly recommend this tour for first time visit to Tokyo. Our guide Atsushi took great care to acclimate us with navigating through busy train stations efficiently with a group of eight family members. Along the way and at each site he explained various cultural practices and associated histories that made the tour very immersive and enjoyable. Best Tour for a Short Visit
Atsushi-san was an incredibly well-researched and friendly tour guide. His knowledge allowed us to explore and get to the historical significance of the various locations we visited. His explanations were simple but comprehensive. The six hours flew by and included some off-the-beaten opportunities including coffee at a very austere but memorable location near the fish market. I would highly recommend him as well as this tour for anyone with limited time in Tokyo wanting see as much as possible

Our guide, Atsushi, was great! He met us at our hotel in Hakone and took us clockwise to tour all the sites. He was informative and taught us a lot. Our group was two adults and a 14 year old. We saw Mt Fuji from the rope way, but unfortunately the pirate ship was canceled because of high wind. We would absolutely use Atsushi again for this tour, or any other tour he provides.
