What Is a Private Himeji Castle Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
Today's guests were a group visiting Japan from Oceania. We met at Himeji Station and visited Castle View, Himeji Castle, Kokoen Garden, and the rooftop of Egret Himeji. The weather was pleasant that day, and none of the sites were crowded, so we were able to enjoy a comfortable tour. The guests seemed genuinely interested in both the exterior appearance and the internal structure of Himeji Castle, spending a long time observing it and taking many photos.
They were also delighted by the beautiful views of Himeji Castle from Kokoen Garden and the rooftop of Egret Himeji. Although the tour ran a little longer than expected, I believe the guests thoroughly enjoyed today's tour.

Our delightful guide, Norio, was knowledgeable and a master at train negotiation! A highlight of the tour was the Herb Garden and Ropeway visit. The Sake Brewery and Museum was interesting with fabulous explanation from Norio combined with outstanding exhibits and tastings! He then left us to wander at our leisure in Chinatown.

We learnt lots about Himeji castle and it was very interesting. The gardens were beautiful and it was great to see all the Koi fish. Norio made sure to take us to the best places and even took us to a great local sake place we asked for 🙂
