Title: What's a Private Day Tour of Nara and Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. Since English was a foreign language for both the guests and myself, there were many times when I had to repeat the same explanation twice. The guests walked energetically and seemed perfectly fine walking all day long. Perhaps because they had eaten a large breakfast at their hotel, they said they were not hungry, and at the guests' suggestion, we cut the planned lunch and continued sightseeing. The guests had prepared light snacks and ate them while waiting for trains and buses. They did a lot of shopping, but since we had time to spare, they said they wanted to finish Nara sightseeing early and see Kyoto instead. After discussing it, we decided on the spur of the moment to visit Fushimi Inari. Fushimi Inari was the place the guests enjoyed the most. They were all excited and took many photos. The weather today was fine, hardly cold at all, and each site was uncrowded, making it easy to guide. After Fushimi Inari, we returned to Kyoto Station and the tour ended. I was born and grew up in Kyoto and now live near Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. I used to be a schoolteacher of English and welcome a lot of students from foreign countries.
