Meeting at Himeji Station at 12:45, the group explored Hyogo until the tour ended at 16:45. The day ran to 4 hours from start to finish.
The itinerary covered Sightseeing at Himeji Castle at 13:10, Stroll through Kokoen Garden at 15:30, Leave Kokoen Garden and browse souvenir shops at 16:10 and Genmyoan on the 1st floor of Egret Himeji at 16:30.
What Is a Private Himeji Castle and Koko-en Garden Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from North America, who came to Japan to celebrate an academic milestone. Because it was still the New Year holiday period, Himeji Castle was very crowded, but we were able to move through more smoothly than expected, and the guests listened attentively to each explanation. We then visited Koko-en Garden, where few flowers were blooming in winter, so we left a little early and browsed the souvenir shops. At the guests' request, I took them to a venue where they could enjoy sake and sake tasting. On the way toward the castle, one of the guests spotted a nice hat and wanted to visit the shop, so we went to a store on Otemae-dori, where they were able to make the purchase they had hoped for and were delighted. We said our goodbyes in front of that shop.

magnifiques. Seule précaution : il y beaucoup de marches avec des escaliers raides , il faut

Rie is a terrific guide! She worked diligently with us as we planned our day in Himeji, and ensured we could fully enjoy ourselves as we spent the day with her. She brings a very warm, friendly and informative spirit to her work, and she was sensitive to our limitations on climbing the steep castle stairs, although she is quite capable herself in scaling various sites. Rie also has a nice sense of humor, which is so helpful when one spends a full day with a guide. As a bonus, Rie showed us her many favorite photo spots. We strongly recommend Rie, as she is one of the best guides we have worked with in our global travels. Thank you for a memorable day!
