Hello, I am Yuriko, your guide in Kochi. I moved to Kochi from Tokyo area in 2011 because I fell in love with its pristine nature, delicious foods and spirit of hospitality with a long history of welcoming Shikoku henro pilgrims and travelers. After working for the local tourism bureau, I started my career as a freelance guide in 2023. I enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients from farmers markets and learning recipes for local cuisines such as country-style sushi and yuzu flavored dishes. Walk in nature is also one of my favorite things to do here in Kochi.

We were just thrilled with our guide Yuriko who was very kind and her English speaking skills were excellent. We saw so many wonderful things in Kochi, the Botanical Gardens, Chikurin-ji Temple, Kochi Park's Castle, Urado Beach and Park.
