Title: What Is a Private Family Day Tour of Kyoto and Arashiyama Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting from North America. They took photos at each spot and enjoyed sightseeing at a relaxed pace while chatting along the way. For lunch, we made a last-minute reservation at a restaurant and were seated with almost no wait. They had hoped to eat sushi, which is why I chose that restaurant, but unfortunately it was not available for weekday lunch. However, the guests said they also liked udon, so they ordered various noodle set meals and spent an enjoyable hour and a half over the meal. After lunch, I had considered guiding them to the bamboo grove in Arashiyama, but since the monkey park was what they were most looking forward to, I decided to take them there instead. They seemed to have a wonderful time and were very pleased when it was over. Afterward, since one of the guests had a massage appointment booked for just after 5:00 p.m. and they said they did not wish to extend the tour, I saw them back to their hotel.

I am an experienced guide, who live in Osaka. I have been a Government-Licensed Guide in English since 2018. I have already guided a lot of tourists overseas in Kansai Area, that is, in the vicinity of my prefecture, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and Himeji. I am especially good at guiding in Kansai Area with sufficient knowledge of history, culture and transportation. I have guided people ranging from a small group of one or two to a group of 20-50 people in a big bus, that is, a coach. I like delicious food, because Osaka is a city of Kuidaorre, which means that people in Osaka love to eat and never spend too much money on food. Therefore, as an Osakan, I will do my best to explore restaurants which serve most delicious foods in wherever I take to my guests.
