What Is a Private Kamakura Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

We met at Kamakura Station and I was able to guide the guests almost exactly as scheduled. The guests appeared relaxed throughout and enjoyed conversation with the guide while sightseeing. As it was Kamakura on a holiday, there was a considerable wait for lunch, but even during that time we had a lively conversation about the menu and about each other's families. Since I had explained that the Great Buddha Hall had been washed away by a tsunami, leaving the Great Buddha in the open air, I mentioned the tsunami hazard map on the way back from the Great Buddha, which the guests found very interesting, and we talked about what to do if a tsunami were to come. Although we had originally planned to return to Kamakura Station and part ways there, the guests expressed a wish to ride the Enoden while looking at the coast on the way back, so we took the Enoden to Fujisawa and parted ways there.
