Title: What Can You See on an 8-Hour Private Walking Tour of Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visitors from North America. It was their first time in Japan, and they had arrived the day before, planning to head to Kyoto the next day, so today was their only day for sightseeing in Tokyo. I thanked them for choosing this tour despite that schedule. They planned to stay in Kyoto for two days and then travel on to Asia, where some of the guests intended to visit family.

We visited a series of traditional places, including Meiji Shrine, Shinjuku Gyoen, Rikugien Garden, Nezu Shrine, Yanaka, and Asakusa. The guests were fairly quiet and did not ask many questions, and their reactions at each spot were modest, so I was a little unsure whether they were enjoying themselves. However, at the end they gave me a tip and also promptly wrote a very positive review, which put me at ease.

It was an 8-hour tour that included places requiring a lot of walking, such as the Japanese gardens, but the guests walked energetically throughout and we completed the tour without any problems.
