Tour Itinerary in Detail
The itinerary covered Miyajima Island at 11:35, Stone Torii Gate and the Shrine at 12:30, Eating lunch at Toriiya Restaurant at 13:00, Peace Park by Jet ferry at 14:25, Peace Park Tour including the A-bomb Dome at 15:50, Museum at 16:55 and Goodbye at the east end of the Peace Bridge at 17:05.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi by train (420JPY); Miyajima to Peace Park (1,100JPY). Across 2 sections the fare came to 1,520JPY per person.
Title: What Is a Private Hiroshima and Miyajima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests had been concerned about their Shinkansen reservation on the 4th due to the heavy rain on November 2, but the arrangement was successfully made. They had listed the history of Hiroshima, the Peace Memorial Park, and the museum as their priority items. On Miyajima, because of the spring tide, people were lined up from the stone torii gate waiting to visit the shrine, so the guests said they would not visit it, and we had lunch. The ferry terminal also had a very long line, and since the guests said they wanted to reach the Peace Memorial Park quickly, we used the jet ferry. At the Peace Memorial Park, questions came up such as, "What was being sold at the Atomic Bomb Dome? What were Hiroshima's industries before the war, and what are they now? How was Shima Hospital, which was at the hypocenter, rebuilt?" When I said, "As a result of the war, the atomic bomb was dropped. The important thing is not to have war from now on," the guests nodded deeply and listened intently. In front of the museum we also had to wait, and the stay was only 30 minutes, but the guests said, "Because we had listened to your explanation, we could understand it right away."

Hiroshima Tour with Yoshi
Yoshi was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond—meeting us at the station and making everything feel effortless and perfectly organized.
She is incredibly knowledgeable, especially about Hiroshima’s history. What made the experience even more special is that her perspective comes from someone who was born and raised there. Hearing the stories, details, and context directly from her added a level of depth and authenticity that you simply cannot get otherwise.
Beyond her knowledge, Yoshi is just a beautiful human being—kind, warm, and genuinely caring. Spending the day with her felt like a hug to the heart. She made us feel comfortable, cared for, and fully present in such a meaningful place.
She guided us through every site with perfect timing and intention, making sure we experienced everything without ever feeling rushed.
If you are visiting Hiroshima, I cannot recommend Yoshi enough. Seeing the city through her eyes is something truly unforgettable.
