Title: What's a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like for First-Time Visitors? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guest visited Japan with the group. Today they had gone to Arashiyama early in the morning, so we met at the site. The group came to Japan wanting to get to know the country well themselves. They planned to make an inspection trip of more than two weeks, covering Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go, and other places. I did my best to summarize the characteristics of each destination as efficiently as possible. Since the trip doubled as a reconnaissance visit, they moved around a great deal and took many photographs. They seemed to enjoy photography personally, but also photographed signs, posters, my materials, and anything else that might be useful for reference. Because the group occasionally needed to take breaks, things took even more time, and although we had originally planned to visit Sanjusangendo, we cut it. The tour of Kiyomizu-dera ended after 5:00 p.m., but since I guided the group all the way to Yasaka Shrine, we went considerably over the scheduled time.
