Tour Itinerary in Detail
Over the course of the day the route took in Gion at 8:20, Fushimi Inari at 9:00, Kinkaku-ji at 11:00, Arashiyama at 12:00 and Karasuma Station at 13:45.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Gion-Shijo to Fushimi Inari by train (220JPY); Inari to Enmachi by train (200JPY); Nishinokyo-Enmachi to Kinkaku-ji-michi by bus (230JPY); Kinkaku-ji-michi to Nishinokyo-Enmachi by bus (230JPY); Enmachi to Saga-Arashiyama by train (190JPY); Arashiyama to Karasuma by train (240JPY). Across 6 sections the fare came to 1,310JPY per person.

The guests were visitors from Oceania whom I guided through Gion, Fushimi Inari, Kinkaku-ji, and Arashiyama on a private tour with [Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/). Because we visited Gion early in the morning, there were few people around, and the guests enjoyed the beautiful scenery. At Fushimi Inari, they asked about the difference between Shinto and Buddhism and were very interested, and they were also amazed by the sheer number of cultural heritage sites in Kyoto. At Kinkaku-ji, they of course marveled at the beautiful gold, and gazed with fascination at the displayed image of Kinkaku-ji covered in snow. In Arashiyama, they walked briskly from the bamboo grove to the observation deck, enjoying the beauty of the greenery and the spectacular view from the deck. We parted ways without having lunch.

Yuko San is one of the best tour guides we have had on our tour to Japan. We spent a good 4 hours with her in Osaka covering the Osaka Castle, the Shitennō-ji Temple, and ended with a delicious local lunch at Shinsekai.
Her knowledge about the region was very good. What set her apart was her politeness and mannerisms.
I would recommend Yuko San as a tour guide.

Yuko was great at guiding us everywhere and explaining all the different ways to buy tickets so it was affordable and most convenient for our family. They also stopped to explain facts of the areas we were in and took so many family photos for us. She always made sure we were close by her when around large crowds. Very friendly and lovely to get to know. Highly recommend this guide!
