Over the course of the day the route took in Eat at Hiroshima Station at 9:55, Miyajima by train and ferry at 10:00, Miyajima at 11:05, Miyajimaguchi at 13:30, Nishi-Hiroshima Station by JR at 14:49, Nishi-Hiroshima Station at 15:07, museum by bus at 15:12 and museum at 15:25.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi Station by train (420JPY); Miyajimaguchi Station to Nishi-Hiroshima Station by train (330JPY); Nishi-Hiroshima to Museum by bus (220JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 970JPY per person.

I guided a group visiting from North America.
First, at the shrine, the guests were moved by the beauty of the torii gate and took many photos. As low tide was approaching, we were able to walk close to the torii gate, and the guests seemed amazed by its size.
At Daisho-in Temple, the guests were very interested in the garden of the 500 Rakan statues and even recorded video.
Along the main approach, the guests chose a rice paddle inscribed with "Muscles never betray you," as one of the family members is into bodybuilding.
The guests shared that they had moved to their current home from another region years earlier. When I asked how they had mastered English, they explained that they had learned it through various media such as movies and music.
Finally, the guests seemed to really enjoy okonomiyaki, and I suggested that once they returned to Osaka they should compare Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki with Osaka-style okonomiyaki.
