What Is a Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Ueno, Nezu Shrine, Meiji Jingu, and Shibuya

The weather was excellent, and the guests both had Welcome Suica cards, so the itinerary went smoothly. We walked all the way from Ueno Park to Nezu Shrine, but as the guests were used to exercising regularly, they proceeded without any complaints. In Ueno Park, we visited Gojo Tenjin Shrine, Kiyomizu Kannon-do, and Ueno Toshogu, then passed in front of the National Museum and explored the temples of Yanaka. At Nezu Shrine, there were many families celebrating Shichi-Go-San. The guests showed considerable interest in the moats and buildings of Edo Castle. At Meiji Jingu there were two wedding ceremonies, and I received questions about the ceremonial attire. Since we were ahead of schedule, we walked from Takeshita Street through Cat Street and ended the tour in Shibuya.
