Title: What's a 5-Hour Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting Japan from the Middle East. When we made contact via a messaging app the day before, they asked to change the start time to 10:00, saying they were fine with reducing the number of stops, so it became a 5-hour tour. We canceled the planned visit to Fushimi Inari, and instead strolled slowly through the town while sightseeing, walking from Sannenzaka to the Yasaka Pagoda, the Gion Kobu Kaburenjo Theater, Hanamikoji, Kawaramachi, and Teramachi Kyogoku, taking a break along the way at a matcha house on Sannenzaka, and chatting as we made our way to the lunch spot.

At Kiyomizu-dera, the guests listened intently to my explanations and took their time exploring the grounds while taking photos. Finally, at the Otowa Waterfall, when I explained the meaning of each of the three streams, they were eager to try it, so they both lined up together, scooped up the water, and drank it while making their wishes.

There was a line in front of the noodle restaurant Muraji for lunch, but we were able to get inside in a relatively short time, and after ordering we were served without much of a wait. In terms of both taste and atmosphere, it is a restaurant that foreign travelers find very satisfying.

While we were eating it started to rain, and since we were also running low on time, they requested that we take a taxi to Kinkaku-ji. Kinkaku-ji was relatively uncrowded, and we finished seeing it quickly. Although I also explained how to take the bus back to the hotel, the guests said they would return by taxi, so we ended the tour at the taxi stand.
