Tour Itinerary in Detail
From there the group visited East Gardens of the Imperial Palace at 9:30, Nezu at 11:20, Nezu Shrine at 11:30 and Akihabara at 14:00.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Otemachi to Nezu by subway (178JPY); Nezu to Akihabara by train (345JPY); Akihabara to Tokyo by train (146JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 669JPY per person.

The guests were a group visiting from North America. It was part of a 14-day trip, and since the destinations for the following days were already decided, the request was for me to choose places that would not overlap. After discussing together, we decided on the Imperial Palace East Gardens, Nezu, and Akihabara. Since the guests wanted ramen for lunch, we headed to a ramen restaurant in Nezu. At first we had considered a different place, but when I mentioned that one of the guests had a nut concern, we were turned away because they were worried something might happen. Everyone in the group was very kind and enjoyed all the places we visited, and I was able to have a wonderful time as well.

Very nice to meet you! I’m An, your guide for Tokyo and Kamakura. I’m honored to have the opportunity to show you around this time. (For the Tokyo Tour)Tokyo offers a wide variety of attractions. For first-time visitors, I highly recommend visiting the must-see places, such as Meiji Jingu Shrine, the Imperial Palace East Garden, the Tsukiji Fish Market, and Asakusa (Sensoji Temple). For Anime fans, Akihabara is the place to go. For those who prefer less-known spots, I’d be happy to introduce some hidden gems. As for food, if you’re interested in trying some great ramen, I’d be glad to take you to one of my favorite local spots for lunch. (For the Kamakura Tour) For a 6-hour itinerary, I recommend visiting the Great Buddha, Hase Temple, and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. On the way back to JR Kamakura Station, we can also stop by Komachi Shopping Street. If you’re interested in visiting Zen temples, I’d be happy to include them in the itinerary as well. This customizable tour worked really well for us and enjoyed the conversation throughout despite the heat! We went to the places we were most interested in iand received thorough explanations from An. She is very knowledgeable, flexible and kind, highly recommend her and would definitely love to tour again with her the places we did not have the time to visit if we’re back in Kamakura.

6 Hour Tour of Tokyo
We (four of us) had a great day with our tour guide An (Ando)! She was very informative and accommodating to our requests and prior experience in Tokyo. An was proactive in communicating before our tour and had all arrangements made well in advance. She was waiting for us at the meeting point and led us through many of the highlights of Tokyo. We walked, used the Metro and buses. I highly recommend this tour and the opportunity to explore Tokyo!

An is the best tour guide ever!! Atsuko (An) was very patient, friendly and passionate regarding helping my family and I learn about the Japanese culture and have a good time. She brought us to amazing places such as the iconic Senso-Ji Temple and other popular local destinations that would be very hard to find if you were traveling without a tour guide. Thanks to (An), my family and I felt very immersed in the authentic Japanese culture.
