What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were in good physical condition, so we were able to progress through the itinerary very smoothly. The weather was fine, but the temperature was quite high for the season, so I kept an eye on hydration and slowed the pace as we went. Since we traveled by train, I used the time in transit to explain the upcoming sites, making efficient use of our time. Even without necessarily matching the tour to a particular preference, I deliberately mixed in pop culture elements and combined them with shrines, temples, and gardens so that the experience would not become monotonous, and this seems to have been well received. Before entering Hamarikyu Gardens, I showed the overall layout from an upper floor of the Shiodome Sio-Site before we went in, which I think helped deepen their understanding.

Sammy was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and my husband and I had the best time with him during our honeymoon in Tokyo! He reached out well before our trip to get to know our interests and carefully planned an itinerary that was perfectly tailored to us.

We were lucky enough to have Sammy as our guide. He was super organised, knowledgable, respectful and fun! He tailored a great itinerary to suit our needs with everything running on time. Gave is a great restaurant recommendation for lunch and entertained the kids. He also created lovely photo album for us. Well worth it! A great way to see Tokyo and highly recommend.

What a great tour with a fabulous guide. Sammy took us on an ideal loop starting from our hotel and visiting so many of Tokyo highlights. From the beautiful shrines, to bussling street markets and a visit to the quieter side of Tokyo! We tasted things from local vendors that specialized in those items. Many great pictures to help us remember this wonderful trip!
