Tour Itinerary
- ①13:30 Hotel → Travel by bus
- ②14:30〜15:10 Kinkaku-ji
- ③15:40〜16:30 Nijo Castle
- ④17:00〜18:00 Kiyomizu-dera, Higashiyama District
- ⑤18:15〜19:15 Gion (After dinner, stroll along Hanamikoji) → Travel by taxi
- ⑥19:30 Disband at the hotel
What Is a Private Afternoon Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from Asia, visiting Japan for the first time. From the seven sightseeing spots they had requested, and taking into account the afternoon start time and the viewing hours of each site, I planned the itinerary above. They explored each location with great interest and seemed to fully enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto. At Kiyomizu-dera, they were delighted to see a beautiful sunset from the west gate. The long distances on foot seemed to tire some of the guests a little, but after eating ramen in Gion they said it was delicious and regained their energy, and they were also charmed by Hanamikoji Street in the evening. While strolling, a taxi happened to come along, so I saw them off to the Hotel and we parted ways.

Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable about the are and guided us to several temples using public transportation. We stopped for a traditional Japanese lunch and saw some of the specialty wood carvings from the area. Our guide enjoyed the beauty of nature and his enthusiasm helped us to pay attention to the natural beauty as well.
