- ①9:00 Hotel (Nishikasai)→(subway)
- ②9:40 〜10:50 Asakusa (Nakamise Street, Sensoji Temple, Asakusa Shrine)
- ③10:55〜11:35 Sumida River Cruise
- ④11:40〜12:40 Waters Takeshiba (lunch)→(JR from Hamamatsucho to Harajuku)
- ⑤13:00〜14:10 Meiji Shrine→(subway)
- ⑥14:30〜15:00 Imperial Palace・Marunouchi
- ⑦15:10 Dismissal at Otemachi Station
What Does a Private One-Day Tokyo Tour Cover? A Licensed Guide's Report on Asakusa, Meiji Shrine, and a Sumida River Cruise
The guests were visitors from North America. Since some of the guests live in Osaka, the group planned to travel there after their stay in Tokyo. Based on their request to visit Asakusa and Meiji Shrine, we structured the tour around those sites, and for the transfer we took a water bus to Waters Takeshiba, where we had lunch. Both of the guests seemed to greatly enjoy the Sumida River cruise.
In the evening they had a reservation for a kimono fitting near Kiba Station, so from Meiji Shrine we moved to the area in front of Nijubashi to take in the scenery of the Imperial Palace and Marunouchi district, and I saw them off at Otemachi Station on the Tozai Line, where we parted ways.

Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable about the are and guided us to several temples using public transportation. We stopped for a traditional Japanese lunch and saw some of the specialty wood carvings from the area. Our guide enjoyed the beauty of nature and his enthusiasm helped us to pay attention to the natural beauty as well.
