What Is a Private Full-Day Tour of Osaka Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Sumiyoshi Taisha and Osaka Castle

Today's guests were a group visiting from Europe. As the heat was still quite intense, two days before the tour I asked whether they would like to start a little earlier than the planned 10:30, and they readily agreed, so we began at 9:00.

They had just arrived in Japan the day before and wished to visit Japanese gardens, shrines, and temples, so we first went to Sumiyoshi Taisha. Compared to Kyoto, it was remarkably quiet and relaxed, which made for a very pleasant visit. I was also able to explain the differences between shrines and temples at a leisurely pace.

Osaka Castle is much more enjoyable to explore with a guide's explanation of its history, so I believe that added to the experience as well.
