Tour Itinerary
- After meeting at Tobu Nikko Station, we took the Tobu Bus to Chuzenji Onsen, viewed Lake Chuzenji, visited Kegon Falls, took the Tobu Bus to the West Approach Entrance, visited Nikko Toshogu Shrine, visited Futarasan Shrine, took photos at Shinkyo Bridge, rested at a cafe, and then took the bus to Tobu Nikko Station. We parted ways before boarding the train.

One of the guests had visited Japan the previous year for skiing in Hokkaido, and since they had made the trip, they also toured Tokyo and Kyoto and came to love Japan, wishing to bring the group on a Japan trip this year, which led to this visit. The day before, the group had gone to Hakone with a guide, meeting in Odawara, and mentioned that the ropeway car had no air conditioning and windows that would not open, which made it uncomfortable. Since today's forecast called for rain in the afternoon, I advised them to be sure to bring an umbrella, and because an umbrella alone is not enough when the wind is strong in the mountains, I also prepared raincoats for the guests. However, it did not rain, and the weather was cloudy and not too hot, so we were blessed with good conditions. As a souvenir, I gave a gift of a glass with a Mount Fuji-shaped bottom in a mist box. Afterwards, there were also various inquiries about places to visit, which I answered.

Mr Akey showed me an amazing time in Hakone. He planned out a very detailed itinerary based completely on my interests. The hot spring onsen was just what I needed to relax after long travel and a day of walking around the day before. I was hesitant to do the ropeway due to my fear of heights, but am so glad I went. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and I was lucky enough to have a clear enough day to get some incredible views of Mt Fuji. Highly recommend.

Akito, our private tour leader, was a fabulous person who was kind and had a deep knowledge of ancient and modern Japanese history. He took us on a fun adventure around the bustling Tokoyo, showing us both the posh and modern and local treasures. You should be prepared to walk a lot 🙂

You can tailor make this to anything you want and the guide delivered exactly what we asked for, along with some extras and very good commentary to explain it all. Only thing is be prepared to travel on subway which can take some time, so make sure what you want to see is geographically close to maximise your sight-seeing.
