What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nijo Castle, Fushimi Inari, and Sanjusangendo
The guests were a group from Europe who traveled through Tokyo and Hakone before coming to Kyoto. One of the guests, a fan of the soccer player Mitoma, enjoyed the tour while wearing the Japan national team uniform. At Nijo Castle, the guests were impressed by the architecture of the Ninomaru Palace, the decorations and carvings of the Karamon Gate, and the mannequins of the shogun and daimyo displayed in the palace's grand hall. We also discussed the history of Japan's shogun and their relationship with the emperor. At Fushimi Inari Taisha, the guests remarked that Japan's Shinto reverence for nature and the nature worship of the Norse Viking gods shared many similarities. Finally, at Sanjusangendo, the guests were amazed that a building and Buddhist statues more than 700 years old have survived so beautifully preserved. They were also fascinated to learn that Japanese Buddhism was influenced by Hinduism and Persian culture.

He was also very friendly and approachable, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
