What Does a Private One-Day Tour of Tokyo Look Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were staying at a hotel, and came from there by taxi to Odaiba, where we met just after 8:15. At the strong request of one of the guests, Tokyo Skytree was added to the list of destinations. We had also planned to visit Meiji Shrine, but there was not enough time, so the tour ended at Skytree. Since they wanted to avoid the heat as much as possible, in addition to public transportation we used taxis from Tsukiji to the Imperial Palace and from Asakusa to Skytree. At Tsukiji, they showed interest in cooking tools and purchased a bamboo rolling mat for making sushi. At the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, they took their time, resting at the rest areas along the way. They had lunch at a sushi restaurant in the basement of a hotel. Asakusa was also very hot, so we headed to Skytree early. At Skytree, they enjoyed the sights in a cool environment, but there was considerable smog toward Mount Fuji, so unfortunately there was no clear view. We parted ways at Skytree Town.
