- 12:30 Meet at Himeji Station, pass through the old shopping street
- 13:00 Himeji Castle, the castle tower and the Hyakken Corridor of Nishinomaru
- 15:30 Koko-en Garden
- 17:30 Introduce shops to buy food at Himeji Station and disband
What Is a Private Castle Tour in Japan Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests came to Japan very much looking forward to the trip. I guided them around, giving detailed explanations of the most interesting spots. They listened attentively, even memorizing many family crests. The heat and humidity were intense, but I guided them over time while adding jokes and taking breaks along the way. During the tour we enjoyed ourselves, including taking photos with a ninja performer. They asked many insightful questions, and I believe they were able to get a real sense of the era of the castle.

Our guide Chiyuki was the best part of the trip. Super earnest, so generous with her knowledge of the history and culture. The tour had a lot to cover, from the sake making area to the Kobe Herb Garden Ropeway on the opposite side of the city, all in one afternoon. Miles to cover but never once did we feel rushed. We had lovely conversations along the way and tons of pictures to take home. Last but not least, when we requested for her recommendations of Kobe beef places, she pointed us to a top notch Kobe Beef Teppanyaki option – while prudently ensuring it was a value for money experience. You are the best Chiyuki – grateful for your hospitality and gracious hosting.

After getting off to a rocky start our guide was wonderful! She took us to the Herb Gardens
which was fabulous and the for a Kibe beef lunch, then toured Chinatown and did some
