- 2) 11:10 Yanaka <Kayaba Coffee → Former Yoshidaya Liquor Store → Ueno Sakuragi area → Yanaka Cemetery → Shopping street → Nippori Station>
- 3) 12:15 Sanrio Characters Garden Cafe (14-30 Ueno 2-chome, Taito-ku, Tokyo, Pasela Resorts Ueno Koen-mae Store 1F)(~13:30)
- 4) 14:00 Meiji Shrine (~15:00)
- 5) 15:10 Harajuku Takeshita Street (~16:30)
- 6) 17:00 Dismissal @ Shibuya Gyumon (14-5 Shibuya 3-chome, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo)
What Is a Private Family-Friendly Day Tour of Tokyo Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
[Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private one-day tour of Tokyo for a group visiting from Europe. After meeting the guests at their accommodation, the tour began with a walk through the Yanaka district. The guests were on a stopover in Japan on their way to another destination in Asia, and had very little prior knowledge of Japan. At the request of one of the guests, the guide made a reservation at a character-themed cafe (with payment left to the guests directly after use), where the group spent a little over an hour. The itinerary changed between the initial plan and the actual tour, and at the guests' request we visited Meiji Shrine and Harajuku. In Harajuku, some of the guests enjoyed shopping, and I guided them to a cat cafe, where they stayed for about 30 minutes. One of the guests did not seem particularly interested in Japanese culture and spent much of the time on their smartphone, though they responded when spoken to. I successfully guided the group to a halal BBQ restaurant in Shibuya, where we parted ways.

Wonderful tour of the highlights of Tokyo
Tachi was our guide. What a wonderful experience. She communicated very effectively before our departure to plan a very nice tour around the city. On the day of departure, it was raining very heavily in Tokyo and we considered rescheduling, but went ahead anyway. She met us at our hotel just as planned and set out on a very nice tour that visited all the sites we wanted to see. We used the subway system to move about the city. We we very happy with the tour and would book with her again in the future if we return to Tokyo. Hint: download PASMO to your phone to pay for subway rides.
