What Is a Private Taxi Tour of Hiroshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

I coordinated with the taxi driver in advance, and on the day I was able to meet the guests without any trouble. Fortunately, the weather I had been worried about held up and it did not rain. One of the guests had some difficulty walking, so I felt that sightseeing by taxi was the right choice. In the Peace Memorial Park, I listened to their thoughts on current politics and views on peace, which was educational for me. One of the guests had a sore throat and wanted to buy some medicine, so we stopped by a pharmacy. We did not have much time at Hiroshima Castle, but I had them go inside as well. I am grateful if the guests were satisfied.

This time, the taxi driver noticed that the port might be Itsukaichi Port rather than the originally listed Ujina Port, and contacted me about it. If that had not happened, I would have gone to Ujina Port to pick them up, and I became a little anxious thinking I might have caused trouble for the guests. Regarding confirmation of such points, I would appreciate your attention once again going forward.

I was an English teacher of a high school in Hiroshima.
I retired early from my job in March in 2024.
I might be of use to you if you’d like to get to know the present educational situation in Hiroshima.
I had many opportunities to introduce Japanese culture when I taught Japanese in high school in America for two years.
I can take you to the place where you can listen to music because I used to be a member of a music band.
I like Japanese chess, fishing, skiing.
I’m willing to do some activities with you.
I would be most happy to help you know culture in Hiroshima.
