Tour Itinerary in Detail
The tour started at 7:50 at front of Hotel Kutakeso Hiroshima Otemachi and ended at 17:30. The day ran to 9 hours and 40 minutes from start to finish.
Over the course of the day the route took in Travel to Miyajima by bus and JR at 8:00, Miyajima sightseeing at 9:10, Travel to Shukkeien Garden at 12:45, Shukkeien Garden sightseeing, feeding the carp at 14:30, Hiroshima Castle at 15:30 and Peace Memorial Park guided tour at 16:15.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: In front of the Broadcasting Center to Koi "Miyajima Kaido" by bus (220JPY); Nishi-Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi Station by train (330JPY); Miyajimaguchi Station to Hiroshima Station by train (420JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 970JPY per person.
What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests came to Japan to celebrate the completion of a school milestone. It was lovely to see how much they enjoyed traveling together and shared such a warm dynamic throughout the day.
This time the guests requested that we visit every location listed in the "What to Expect" section. Since this was my first time attempting to cover them all, we went considerably over the scheduled time. I apologized for this, but the guests were extremely pleased and clearly enjoyed themselves, which made me happy.
It is quite difficult to visit every place listed in the "What to Expect" section within the allotted time, but it seems that many guests believe all of these spots can definitely be covered. I intend to work on managing my time better going forward. My apologies.
This tour was very enjoyable once again, and I look forward to the next one. Thank you very much.

Riona was a wonderful guide, informative and funny . It was like spending a day with a really good but much more knowledgeable friend :-). Riona also gave us insights into broader Japanese life, customs and language as well as being very knowledgeable about the historical sites we visited. We were travelling with our one year old daughter and Riona couldn’t have been more patient, understanding and helpful . Thank you for an insightful if poignant day and for making us feel so so welcome. We hope to meet again !

Riona was an excellent guide for a day in Hiroshima and Miyajima. She was very thoughtful in her plans and very knowledgeable about the places we visited. She considered my limitations as I had hurt my foot before the trip and needed some breaks. She even took photos so I could enjoy the sites and also have something to show my friends and family. It was an awesome experience and I would recommend her and this trip to anyone.

The tour was a great way to get to see Hiroshima in a day and Riona went above and beyond as a guide! I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering a tour of Hiroshima. This was small and intimate and Riona took us to those things we told her we were interested in seeing. On top of that she was just the warmest person and I wish we had a Riona in every city we visit.
