What Is a Private Himeji Castle Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today's guests were first-time visitors to Japan from Europe. Since the guests arrived earlier than the scheduled tour start time, we began the tour right away. We visited Castle View, Himeji Castle, Koko-en Garden, a souvenir shop, and the rooftop of Egret Himeji. As there were few tourists, we were able to move through everything smoothly.

The guests listened with great interest to the historical background of the time Himeji Castle was built, the castle's defensive features, the story of Princess Sen, and the Okiku Well. Since I carefully allowed time for the guests to take photos with their camera, I was able to guide them without any problems. After enjoying the exterior view of Himeji Castle from the rooftop of Egret Himeji, the guests expressed a wish to have a meal, so I introduced the Senhime Chaya tearoom on the first floor. After looking at the menu, they said it would be a good choice, so we ended the tour in front of Senhime Chaya. The guests were very pleased.
