What Is a Private Day Tour of Nagoya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nagoya Castle, Tokugawaen, and Osu

The guests traveled from Tokyo to Nagoya by Shinkansen on the morning of the tour, so they were fortunate to avoid the effects of the previous day's bad weather.

The itinerary agreed upon in advance with the guests included Nagoya Castle, lunch, Tokugawaen Garden, and the Osu shopping area. Since there was no wait for lunch and the tour progressed smoothly, we had extra time, so on the way from Tokugawaen to Osu we stopped by Oasis 21 in Sakae, where the guests enjoyed the views of the city and the shops.

During a break at a cafe in Osu, the guests asked me to recommend a good restaurant for dinner. I suggested a ryotei-style restaurant near their hotel (Hotel), and on the way back to the hotel we passed in front of the restaurant so they could confirm its location. I gave the guests a note with the restaurant's name and contact information so that the hotel concierge could contact the restaurant in advance, and they were very pleased.
